This study analyzes the export competitiveness of Indonesias palm oil product as compared to Malaysias in three regions: Asia, Africa and Europe. Two palm oil products are analyzed: Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and refined palm oil. Market share is utilized as the measurement of competitiveness. The results indicate that Indonesias palm oil export has increased significantly over the period from 1999-2001 and 2005-2007. The reasons for the increase in Indonesias export are the increase in demand and the increase in export competitiveness of Indonesias palm oil product compared to Malaysias product.c PDFFulltextXMLReferencesCitation
