Unraveling New Strengths in Discrete Cosine Transform Based Gradient Vector Flow Active Contours for Chromosome Image Segmentation

Abstract:
This research analyses the strengths of Discrete Cosine Transform based Gradient Vector Flow Active Contours in Chromosome image segmentation. Extensive research has been performed on Discrete Cosine Transform based Gradient Vector Flow Active Contours for segmentation of chromosome spread images. This study is an extended analysis in the same area. This study has observed novel strengths in Discrete Cosine Transform based Gradient Vector Flow Active Contours, which is expected to yield more insight on chromosome image segmentation using Discrete Cosine Transform based Gradient Vector Flow Active Contours.
