Multi Touch Graphical Password: Usability Features

Nowadays, authentication methods have been considered as one of the most important terms of human and computer interactions. Password is playing the main role of the authentication systems. Unfortunately, text-based passwords, the first authentication scheme, are vulnerable to attackers and are not safe now. Moreover, textual password has difficulty to remember. Graphical password is an alternative scheme to text-based password. Many researchers are working on the security features of graphical password in order to develop a secured authentication scheme. However, they have not considered the usability features of a graphical password as much as the security features. Currently, there are some reasearchs about usability features of a graphical password but most of them are providing the same information. This research mainly concentrates on the graphical password scheme for multi touch screen technology. Multi touch graphical passwords should be a new kind of graphical password, which can be used in mobile devices and computers. In this research, existing usability elements and also new multi touch features will be proposed in order to develop a new graphical password scheme.
