ABSTRACT
Information Technology (IT) plays a key role for the development of Chinese construction enterprises, which has important strategic significance. But in the actual application process, it has encountered some difficulties and obstacles in the Chinese construction enterprises. A questionnaire-based research approach, at the three levels of industry, enterprise and project, was adopted to analyze the factors that affect the selection and use of project management software, the benefits IT can take to the enterprises, the barriers of IT implementation and its coping strategies.
