ABSTRACT
A new concept is presented in this study of quasi-dynamic cell-formation for design of cellular manufacturing system, based on analyzing the fact that static and dynamic cell-formation could not reflect the real situation of modern cellular manufacturing system. Further, a uniform abstract function for cell formation problem is put formation though analyzing the different between static cell-formation, dynamic cell-formation and quasi-dynamic cell-formation.
