Optimization of Reservoir Operation by Genetic Algorithm Considering Inflow Probabilities (Case Study: The Jiroft Dam Reservoir)

Abstract:
In this study, GA has been used to optimize the operation of the multipurpose Jiroft dam reservoir. The optimization is carried out considering the probability of inflow for a period of 12 months. Results show that in the most critical condition of drought, the Jiroft dam reservoir can satisfy downstream demands as well as controlling flood events.
