  This is a review study on new paradigm in teacher education in TVET from policy maker perspective for some issues on how teacher/lecturer education development strategies the challenges of knowledge society and global economy. There are four objectives reflects on this study, first to appreciate the significance of global challenges in TVET educators’ development second to examine the emerging issues and challenges in TVET in training and developing educators (teacher or lecturers). Third is to share innovative concepts and models in TVET educatorís training and development and fourth is to promote best practices around the world in TVET educators training and development through sharing experiences. This review focus on some delegate interested studys from international and regional organizations, the government and private sectors, non-government organizations to work together in preparing TVET educators for the 21st century generation. This review found that the amalgamation experiences in TVETís from international and regional organizations are focus on fundamental frameworks which is enhancing some roles of TVET educators from insufficient transmitter of knowledge to more on development on knowledge society such learning to be reflective educator, facilitator, mentor, manager and coaching and realize the importance of generic skills, Higher Order Thinking (HOT) skills as well as green skills as fundamental components in the development of next generation TVET graduates. This review suggest that every training organization have to recognizes the growing concern for shortage of qualified or well-trained TVET teachers or lecturers and to give priority in fundamental framework in teacher/lecturer education development in TVET sector for 21st century economy.

  The aim of this study is to determine the effect of coaching style and smartphone usage among student satisfaction towards co-curriculum activities. A total of 350 university students successfully completed survey questionnaire. Descriptive data analysis and hierarchical regression conducted by using Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS Version 20.0). First, there is correlation between coaching style and student’s satisfaction. Second, smartphone usage affected between coaching style and student’s satisfaction. This study proposes a new technology in teaching and learning co-curriculum courses to strengthen the generic skills of students in the 4th of industrial revolution era.

  This is a critical review on the characteristics approach used in shaping the curriculum and its impact on teaching and learning. It analyzes 10 journals/book articles base on five characteristics of the curriculum. The terms discussed are research intensiveness, interdisciplinary, community engagement, global connectedness and academic literacy. These characteristics are compared and contrast with relevant information highlighting its impact on teaching and learning. It also further discusses the issues of concern regarding the processes on the delivery systems in learning organisations such as schools and higher learning institutions.

  This is a review study related to seven core premises discussed by Fullan in Department of Languages, Centre of Languages and Human Development, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Those premises are a focus on motivation capacity building with a focus on results; learning in context; changing context; a bias for reflective action; tri-level engagement and persistence and flexibility in staying the course. This study provides a picture for a real scenario which stresses change theory is important in driving education reform. The literature survey shows it is significant to the current scenario happened in UTeM. The suggestion is all the stakeholders need to take up challenges in ensuring the successful education system reform in the higher learning institution for the long term sustainability development goals.

  The health status of the Iraqi individuals has essentially declined in the course of recent decades. Maternal death rates have expanded to 84 for every 100,000 live births as access to quality antenatal and safe conveyance administrations has declined. As the nation pushes ahead with adjustment and change, guaranteeing access to routine high quality and impartial medicinal services has risen as an issue need and the Government of Iraq (Goi) has reacted by replenishing its dedication to enhancing the nature of Primary Health Care (PHC) administrations. The main purpose of the study is to explain the problems facing by Iraqi’s and the approach to solve them in addition providing an appreciation of the health status of Iraqis.

  The objective of this study is to reveal the degree to which prerequisite of foundation knowledge and skill obtainable through institution of higher education might influence prospective graduates’ employability proficiencyin terms of interpersonal and enterprise skills. An exploratory factor analysis was used to verify factor structures that shape the foundation of this generic transfer. The results indicated that respondents were in conformity on how higher education program, internship, extracurricular activities and campus life could possibly influence employability proficiency at their respective workplaces. The present study could also lead any scholar to examine systematic changes in factors affecting employability proficiency in workplace in Malaysia as lecturers incorporate the remuneration of additional interactive teaching with the conventional literary practices entrenched in the engineering syllabus.

  Batik is a unique cultural symbol for the Malay community. Innovation in the art of wax stamp on the cloth is Malay heritage has been documented and verified by western orientalises. The purpose of this study is first to analyze the efforts and innovations of batik art and development. Secondly, is to identify the necessary injections elements of science and technology and innovation to increase the potential of batik-making industry in the future. There are 49 industries involved in the study cohort. Research methods such as participating technique (participatory research) and observation was the main method of obtaining data. While the method of analysis of chronological time and old documents in the national archives are secondary methods in an effort to add complete analysis of the study. The results showed that there was an additional 45 percent of the effort that has been done to develop the batik industry development in Malaysia. The impact of this study is to recommend on the use of innovative computer-aided machine in printing batik. The future work should focus on how to use computer-aided machine in mass printing batik.

  Malaysian Polytechnics are read aloud rethinking academic leadership and professional training of academic staffthrough MOHE Strategic Plan from 2007-2020. Academic leadership in technical based is importance to enhance and address their pedagogical issues. The statements of the problem isentire Malaysian polytechnics have to full fill the malaysian polytechnics national agenda during the second phase (2011-2015). Where all academic staff from technical based, need to boost and reinforce their pedagogical strategies and technological instrument in order to convey Malaysian Polytechnicsin to a regional and global exceptional institution in future. The aim of this study are to examine the planning, implementation, the technical content knowledge, learning ability, the usage of the instrumentation to boost learning, the reflective practice among academic staff, attitude toward technical teaching and learning and their leadership and professionalism behavior. Methods inthis study performed two qualitative and quantitative studies. First, at the beginning, there are 120 academic staff from Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) generationvolunteer in this study and 30 Polytechnics from entire country in Malaysia participated in nationwide surveys. The objective of the survey is to ponder the phenomena and the categories of the problem in teaching and learning. Second, for the qualitative, this study used in-depth interview and participatory dialogue in group interview. The 21 informants with academic leader strengthen data qualitative to be triangulated. About 8 categories and 35 items on teaching and learning from pilot study were used and through Rasch Model the reliability value was 0.96. Finding shows that about 5 categories have been the best practices in teaching and learning among academic staff in Malaysian Polytechnics. There are some barriers to effective Malaysian Polytechnics academic leadership in strategies their pedagogical environment, data shows that 3 categories have been under effective and need more training to address matters such as planning for teaching and learning in Outcome Based Education (OBE) to be a practitioner on reflective practice and doing Continue Quality Improvement (CQI) after teaching and learning. Academic leader in Malaysian Polytechnicsneed to have knowledge about professionalism in teaching and learning and how to be a leader in technical field. For Discussion, effective academic leadership in teaching and learning in Malaysian Polytechnics is in hampered by centralization on curriculum design, conservativeness on teaching and learning, lacking of self knowledge about leadership in teaching and learning. They also are deficient intheir career path.For conclusionsthis study proposed in service training, enhance faculty members to plan some OBE skills, evaluate the reflective practices and CQI, last, self-involvement in participatory decision making within department and also develop a networking withtechnical based universities.

  Collaborative learning has proven in promoting soft skills development and has been widely implemented in teaching and learning. However, this study addressed the lack of soft skills issue among Malaysia polytechnic graduates causing the graduate to face unemployment. It shows that collaboration does not happen naturally in a group. In previous studies, Online Project Based Collaborative Learning (OPBCL) was developed based on proposed model in order to enhanced student soft skills. A research testing instrument called Collaborative Learning Rubric (CLR) developed in order to evaluate the effectiveness of OPBCL. The main quality indicators for any of testing instrument in research are the validity and reliability. Therefore, this study aims to determine the validity and reliability of CLR. A number of 32 (N = 32) diploma hotel catering students from Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan, Johor (PIS) participated in this study. Data obtained was analysed using WINSTEP Version 3.68 Software. The finding showed that CLR had high reliability with two categories of difficulties items. So, it can be concluded that CLR is reliable and strongly accepted. All items will remain after Rasch analysis. It hoped that this study will give emphasis to other researchers about the importance of analysing items to ensure the quality of an instrument developed.
