  Enormous amount of informationís are gathered and viewed through world wide web by different users. The user practices their views by entering hypertext credentials by internet with a large repository of web pages and web usage mining process is essential for efficient web site management, personalization, business and support services and network traffic flow analysis, etc., web page contains images, text, videos and other multimedia and web log file holds the information of the user accesses in the websites. The log file shall have some noisy and ambiguous data which may affect the data mining process and large quantity of web traffic should be handled effectively to acquire desired information. So the log file should be preprocessed to improve the quality of data. Preprocessing consists of data cleaning and data filtering, user identification and session identification. Two sets of log files are collected and processed to obtain experimental results. This study presents a framework for user and session preprocessing and clustering with Hidden Damage Data algorithm (HDD) and also analyzes the navigational behavior of users through an enhanced Conviction Frequent Pattern Mining Algorithm (CFPMA) to identify frequent patterns in web log data. The experimental result shows that the proposed technique achieves low execution time and higher accuracy when compared with the other existing methods.

  Image segmentation is a complex task which helps us to extract information for analysis a digital image. Millions of methods are available for image segmentation. Out of that image thresholding is a simple, efficient and frequently adopted method for image segmentation. Thresholding basically divide a digital image into two regions; foreground and background based on the intensity value of the pixels. The key point in image thresholding is on the optimum value of threshold of the digital image. It is an important and crucial task to select the optimum threshold. A false choice of threshold will lead to poor results in image segmentation. Generally optimization algorithms are used to select the optimum threshold value. Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm is one of the optimization algorithms which are the replica of natural behaviour of honey bees to find abundant nectar amount. This study describes an approach to segment an 8 bit human lung image using artificial bee colony algorithm based thresholding method. The proposed method proves that the uniformity factor in the image segmentation is good relative to other conventional methods.

  In the current digital age, volume of data is getting increased by 59% on every year worldwide. According to research, it is estimated that 70-85% of data is unstructured and more than 20% performance degradation happens due to improper database design. There are many factors which may influence the performance of the database among the factors a data type plays an important role. Choosing the right data type for each column is most essential in either heavy transaction or less transaction tables. Proper database design provides multiple benefits like minimized disk usage, less consumptions of CPU and resources and improved query performance. The proper usage of data types in the database improves the performance of the whole system. These data types are of different types and should be used in an intelligent way to achieve the expected behavior. This study demonstrates how to choose the correct data types to design efficient database and also identifies which data type should be used or not to be used.

  In this study, an area-efficient low power FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) processor is proposed for MIMO-OFDM (Multi Input Multi Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) that consists of a modified architecture of radix-2 algorithm which is described as Radix-2 Multipath Delay Commutation (R2MDC). Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing is a popular method for high-data-rate wireless transmission. OFDM may be combined with multiple antennas at both the access point and mobile terminal to increase diversity gain and/or Enhance system capacity on a time-varying multi path fading channel, resulting in a multiple-input multiple-output OFDM system. This study described the VLSI design of R2MDC FFT for high throughput MIMO OFDM transceivers targeted to future wireless LAN systems. The proposed system is pipelined Radix 2 multipath delay commutation FFT has been designed for MIMO OFDM. The MIMO OFDM transceivers have been designed according to the proposed OFDM parameters. A low-power efficient and full-pipelined architecture enables the real-time operations of MIMO OFDM transceivers. The FPGA board has been developed to verify their circuit behavior and implementation of MIMO OFDM Transceivers.

  Carbons derived by pyrolysis of coffee shells treated with ZnCl2 were used as electrode materials in symmetric electrochemical supercapacitors. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the carbon from the porogen-free shells show a flake-like structure, while those from the ZnCl2-treated coffee shells have a loose, disjointed structure with no definite shape. X-ray diffraction studies indicated the presence of small domains of coherent and parallel stacking of the graphene sheets. The average surface area of the carbon was 842 m2 g–1, with an average micropore area of 400 m2 g–1. Cyclic voltammetric studies suggested a specific capacitance of about 150 F g–1. Self-discharge studies on the devices showed a large retention time.

  Isolation of Bluetongue virus from blood samples of sheep and goat was carried out in the present study. Out of one fifty blood samples screened for seroprevalance of BTV antibodies by Agarose Gel Precipitation Test (AGPT) 42 gave positive results. The overall percentage of virus isolation was 28% from Embryonated Chicken Eggs (ECE). The identities of the isolates were confirmed by cytopathogenicity. All the isolates were passaged twenty one times in embryonated chicken eggs and further passaged in BHK-21 cell lines. The viral isolates adapted well to the cell culture system and produced cytopathic change like grouping of cells, polycaryon, syncytica formation, acidophilic and intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies in BHK-21 cells. This study confirms the BTV incidence in the tested blood sample with a possible means showing that the virus can easily adapt to ECE and BHK-21 cell line.
