Abstract: The concept of wave function is employed to mathematically model the the transformation of a natural language from its spoken to both written formssyllable (symbol) based and alphabet based writings. The fundamental steps to solving this problem are concerned with the solution to the wave equation subjected to initial and boundary conditions and derivation of these solutions via Fourier series and Sinc series expansion techniques for symbol and alphabet-based writing, respectively, which, in turn, through ideal and physical sampling, reduce to discrete time (space) Fourier series (DTFT or DSFT) and discrete Fourier transform (DFT).
