ABSTRACT
Vegetation was studied along Wadi Talha to the north of Zahran Al Janub (17 46` N and 43 31 E, with an altitude ranges between 2284-2489 masl. A total of 30 species of vascular plants belonging to 17 families was identified. Chamaephytes, phanerophytes and therophytes are the dominant life forms. Three communities were recognized based on floristic and ecological features in the three ecogeomorphological sectors identified. They are, Acacia tortilis subsp. Tortilis, Acacia asak and Fagonia brugieri communities. This study describes the floristic composition of the plant communities where frutescent species form the main framework of the communities.
