Eighteen rice genotypes were grown in lysimeters with or without salinity (8.5 dSm-1) upto maturity. After 90 days of sowing three upper leaves of ten plants of each genotypes from each treatment and replicate (three replication) were excised and their leaf area and chlorophyll content were estimated. At maturity yield per plant was also recorded. The yield per plant, leaf area and chlorophyll contents of all the genotypes reduced by salinity. However, genotypes J-349, J-349 x Bas-385, NIAB-6, NR-I, RST-1-86 and RST-24 showed better performance than others. Positive correlations were found between grain yield per plant and chlorophyll contents.]]>
