Parameters assessed were time spent and number of entries or visits made by male and female adults into the treated and control arms of the olfactometer. Ten microliters of both crude oil extracts significantly repelled the beetles when tested singly and in combination with 5 g winter wheat grains. These results suggest that the essential oils from A. melegueta and Z. officinale may be used in grain storage against insect pests. The details of the bioassay procedure used and the results obtained are reported.]]>Adedire, C.O.,2002Myristica fragrans (Houtt.) powder and oil for the control of cowpea storage bruchid, Callosobruchus maculatus Fabricius.]]>109193199Ajaiyeoba, E.O. and O.
