Elhadi Lei Xiaosong Wu Keqi 122002212The Navier Stock equations coupled, firstly with the standard K-є turbulence model, secondly with Wilcox K-ω model were solved to study the phenomena of turbulent flow separation in different aeronautical and fluid mechanical applications. The numerical simulation based on modified SIMPLE algorithm was employed to non staggered grids which are constructed by using mid-point principle and gradient correction in Cartesian coordinates. Also the momentum interpolation scheme postulated by Pric was used to avoid pressure fluctuation. This numerical simulation was employed to simulate the turbulent flow past an airfoil with trailing edge separation and flow through sudden expansion pipe. In order to compare the results obtained by the two turbulence models, the predicted results by each model were compared with those of available experimental results and it was found out that Wilcox K-ω model is more accurate than K-є model.]]>Bradshaw, P.,197276403418Coles, D. and A.J.W.
