First, the T-S modelling method was adopted to simulate the nonlinear dynamic of IM. In order to transform the tracking control into the stabilization problem, a set of new internal desired states was defined to construct a new control. Then, the HFVSC controller for uncertain IM driving system was proposed based on the fuzzy model and the feedback gains were determined in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The resulted closed-loop system was proved that the state trajectories can across into the specified sliding surface in finite time and the H_{∞} performance can be obtained.
