Electrophoretic Characterization and the Relationship Between Some Egyptian Cruciferae
Abstract:
The present study was carried
out on 17 Egyptian taxa of the Cruciferae
representing 10 genera and 13 species collected from different localities.
Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) was employed to characterize
those taxa. The data obtained were analyzed by the NTsys-pc program
package using the UPGMA clustering method. The produced dendrogram from
SDS-PAGE analysis showed a close affinity and the monophyllay among
the species of the genera; Enarthrocarpus
Labill., Farsetia
Turra, Zilla Forssk. and
the paraphyllaly within the species of the genus Brassica L.
