Abstract: Out of eight kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) cultivars assessed under field conditions against spiral borer (Agrilus acutus Thumb.), two were rated resistant, one was moderately resistant, three were moderately susceptible and two were susceptible. Among the hybrids progenies one was rated resistant, two were moderately resistant, one was moderately susceptible, two were susceptible and one was highly susceptible. Among resistant cultivars and hybrids, differences in mean gall length were insignificant, however, in percent infestation and mean percent damage (APD), the differences were significant.
