New Quinazoline Related Derivatives with Antimicrobial Activity: Part II

ABSTRACT

A series of 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-iodoquinazoline carrying different acyclic or heterocyclic moieties were prepared and tested for their activity against certain strains of Gram negative bacteria, Gram positive bacteria and pathogenic Fungi. The results revealed that some of synthesized compounds displayed marked activity against some of the tested microorganisms
