  A low-powered (4.5-5 V) security alarming system using infrared sensor and detector mechanism has been constructed and tested. An IR transmitter (IR diode) and a receiver (Photo transistor) have been used. The system is connected to a multidirectional buzzer/siren or any kind of sounder to alert people from any threat to make sure the property is completely protected.

  In this study, a comphrehensive study on electronic behaviour, economics and social impacts of energy conversion from solar cell have been presented. A solar cell or photovoltaic cell is a device that converts light energy into electrical energy. Sometimes, the term solar cell is reserved for devices intended specifically to capture energy from sunlight while the term photovoltaic cell is used when the light source is unspecified. Fundamentally, the device needs to fulfill only two functions: photogeneration of charge carriers (electrons and holes) in a light-absorbing material and separation of the charge carriers to a conductive contact that will transmit the electricity. This conversion is useful for solar home system, water pumping and small business.

  Solar inverter topology for single phase grid connected or stand alone applications along with microcontroller based Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) has been presented in this study. The PV array consists of only 12 V cell arrangement for the topology. About 1 V 50 Hz signal has been superimposed with the carrier frequency of 1080 Hz in the discrete PWM generator which is suffice for the desired output/grid voltage. This topology has been designed with modern switching devices of IGBT-Diode, 3-winding ideal transformer and a suitable harmonic filter that gives the CTHD of only 2.26%. The microcontroller based MPPT scheme adorned with Constant Voltage (CV) or open voltage ratio method algorithm to control the operation of the topology. The whole process has been performed by MATLAB/Simulink and simulation results have been presented.

  Due to superior mechanical and electrical properties and the cost advantage associated with their processing, organic materials can be viewed as an important technology for an ample range of electronic applications. In this study, authors presented a comparison between silicon dioxide and Aloe vera gel with dielectric barrier discharge model and capacitive model in COMSOL Multiphysics. Effect of both AC and DC applied voltage on two dielectric plates with argon gas, dielectric barrier discharge current has been reported. In addition, terminal current between two aluminium electrodes separated by a dielectric material is also examined. It has been demonstrated that Aloe vera gel can be used as a dielectric material in microelectronic device.

  In this study, researchers attempt to describe a 4-digit micontroller based Nuclear Counting System. The system includes PIC microcontroller as the key device that avoids lots of conventional analog circuitry. Hence, the system is compact, low cost, least noise, better accuracy and independent of nominal memory mapping. The system has been designed with GM detector and locally developed high voltage power supply. MPlab, assembly language program development environment, controls the operation of the designed system. The system has been tested with standard pulser from accredited manufacturer for its performance verification.

  A UWB bandpass filter has been presented in this study. The filter has been designed on a silicon substrate with Perfect Electric Conductor (PEC) microstrip parallel-coupled stub resonators. The filter comprises of Wave port, Infinite Ground Plane and 1 GHz bandwidth with centre frequency, f0 being 1.5 GHz ranges from 0.6-2.4 GHz. The filter has been designed and verified by HFSS simulation.
