  Thirty Holstein cows (10 cows per treatment) were blocked according to calving date, milk yield and party and randomly assigned to a study to determine the effect of manganese (Mn) sources on lactating cows. Treatments were (1) all Mn (14 ppm) supplied by sulfate (S), (2) Mn sulfate (MnSO4) and methionine hydroxyl manganese (Mn-(HMTBA)2) contributed half of the dietary Mn (SM) or (3) all Mn supplied by (Mn-(HMTBA)2) (M). The average 4% Fat-corrected Milk (FCM) yield and fat yield of cows supplied with M dietary were significantly higher than the cows fed with SM and the S (p<0.05). The average lactose rate of SM was significantly lower than S and M (p<0.05). Numerically, the apparent digestibility of organic matter, crude protein, crude fat and acid detergent fiber of S were the lowest but no significant difference were found between groups (p>0.05). Significant increases was observed for serum High-density lipoprotein cholesterol concentration of M compared with S and SM (p<0.05). The average detectable follicle numbers and ovarian score for cows of M was generally lower than cows of SM and S but no significant difference was observed (p>0.10). The present study suggested that replacing a portion of dietary Mn sulfate with Mn-(HMTBA)2 during the peak-and mid-lactation periods will improve the lipid metabolism and milk fat secretion; however, the follicular development may be hampered.

  In this study we present a novel algorithm to estimate continuous-time traffic speed data using multiple regression based on the correlated speed and then compare its results to other baseline missing speed prediction methods with real freeway traffic speed data. Since this approach has greater generalization ability for given real speed data, it is believed that this model will also perform well for all time-series missing data estimation fields.

  In this study, a novel Reduced Reference Image Quality Assessment (RR-IQA) metric is proposed based on energy change in wavelet domain. In the first place, features of Gaussian blur images and their general properties in wavelet domain are analyzed, in terms of the corresponding significance they play on the representation of human visual system. Secondly, in accordance with some authoritative literatures, the change of image energy will evoke the change of human visual perceptual quality. Based on this fact, a series of features from Gaussian blur images which embody the change of image energy are extracted. Finally, we fuse these features based on the principal that we exert different importance in accordance with the different impact each individual sub-band plays on the visual perception. As far as the performance of the proposed metric for the Gaussian blur images is concerned, the proposed metric outperforms the state-of-the-art RR-IQA metrics and even two typical full-reference image quality assessment metrics.

  Nowadays, new requirements have been put forward for university construction in order to build a conservation-minded campus. Due to the lack of effective management mechanism and management, campus energy consumption has a lot of problems such as data measurement inaccuracies and the lack of measurement. As a brand-new campus energy management, energy monitoring platform will effectively improve the level of the energy management work so as to get recognition from the administrators in the universities. Based on the energy monitoring platform construction of a university in the north, which is designed with the consideration of the pratical situations of the university. The information transmission network of the platform is established according to the optical fiber ring network. The water metering, electricity metering and environmental monitoring at the key building of the campus are achieved in the energy platform. It is worth mentioning that the sub-items and household electrical metering realized in the building. It can figure out the energy conserving potential of the campus buildings according to the energy monitoring platform data analysis, providing strongly technical support and abundant data basis for energy-saving renovation project of the campus.

  Invasive Aspergillosis (IA) is one of the most common life-threatening opportunistic invasive mycosis in hematological cancer patients. Early diagnosis of IA is difficult; the need for early clinical diagnosis and management presents the need for new noninvasive, culture-independent diagnostic tools. Galactomannan (GM) and (1-3)-β-D-glucan (BG) antigenemia can serve as useful markers for IA. The current study was conducted to prospectively evaluate the clinical significance of GM and BG detection in the diagnosis of IA in patients with hematological malignancies in China. In 378 patients with hematological malignancies, GM and BG were detected. Analysis of sensitivity, specificity, Positive Predictive Value (PPV) and Negative Predictive Value (NPV) of GM and BG assay were performed. Detection of BG for diagnosis of IA with plasma reported sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV values as 66, 92, 86 and 78%, respectively. The GM detection for diagnosis of IA in serum reported sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV values as 48, 97, 93 and 71%, respectively. Combination of the two tests improved the specificity (to 100%) and PPV value (to 100%) of each individual test without affecting the sensitivity and NPV. The study concluded that serum GM and plasma BG can serve as potential markers of Aspergillosis. The detection of GM and BG has shown high specificity and PPV for screening high-risk hematological patients. The combined measurement of GM and BG appeared to be useful for early diagnosis of IA.

  The objective of this study was to determine the effect of chromium propionate (Cr, 0.4%) supplementation on lactation performance and blood parameters of dairy cows. One hundred primiparous Holstein cows were grouped based on parity and randomly assigned to five supplemental doses (I, II, III, IV, V) of 0, 25, 50, 100 and 150 mg of Cr propionate/kg of concentrate. Experimental diets were fed from approximately 30 days prepartum until 60 days postpartum. Lactation performance: Cr Prop addition did not affected fat, protein, lactose in milk but supplementation of 50 mg of Cr propionate/kg of concentrate did decrease SCC and increase DMI and milk yield. Blood indicators: Addition of Cr can increase serum glucose except the treatment of 150 mg, increase the content of Cr in serum and decrease β-hydroxyl butyrate and NEFA.
