  Metallothioneins (MTs) play important roles in mental ion metabolism, detoxication of heavy mental, clearance of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS). In the studies, Coding Sequences (CDS) of MT1, MT2 and MT3 genes from Chinese-Belgium rabbit were cloned and sequenced. The results showed: CDS length of MT1, MT2 and MT3 was 186, 186 and 201 bp, respectively encoded 61, 61 and 66 amino acids, respectively. Amino acid sequence of MTs includes 7 typical Cys-Xaa-Cys motifs and 20 cysteines which form 10 disulfide-bonds. Similarity analysis showed that the similarity of MT1 and MT2 reached to 87.6%; the similarity of MT2 and MT3 was 78.0%; the similarity of MT3 and MT1 was 76.3%. Alignment and cluster analysis of MTs genes from different species suggest MTs are high conserved but different subtype of MTs genes have separated and formed in the early stages of the evolution of species and then they individually evolve.

  NSP is the major factor introducing a low digestibility of cottonseed meal in piglets. The present study was conducted to determine the effect of NSP enzyme on the nutrient digestibility of weaned piglets fed a cottonseed meal-based diets. About 15 weaned piglets (14±1.4 kg) were selected and ileal fistula surgery was done to determine the DE, CP, DM and NSP’s apparent digestibility. The results indicated that NSP enzyme improved piglet’s apparent digestibility (p<0.05) in varying degrees; pectinase resulted in obvious degradation of the cell wall and increased piglets’ DE (26.69%) and CP of ileal digesta (20.33%) and compound enzyme was better in improving cottonseed meal based diets than single enzyme.

  The basic nutrient components, flavor amino acids, fatty acid and minerals contained in Glycyrrhiza were analyzed and studied the effects on meat quality of Tan sheep through animal experiments. The results showed that Glycyrrhiza had a high levels of nutrients. It was a kind of roughage that can supply nutritions for the animals’ demand as the basic nutrition composition. The EAA/TAA of Glycyrrhiza was 43.15% which showed high quality of protein but the content of α-linolenic acid was lower, palmitic acid and total fatty acids were similar with alfalfa which was called as the king of pasture grass.
