  Agricultural waste has a very high potential for the biogas yielding process. Using the waste has its advantages in the fact that it is a pollutant factor for the environment, it helps the sustainible development of the energies reserve and leads to an overall drop in pollution due to low emmissions. Biogas obtained from animal manure and/or agricultural residue can be used by farmers in the purpose of lowering energy costs, in this way they can transform a problem into an opportunity. Through the biogas release process, the feeding material is transformed into a nitrogen rich fertilizer that can be used for the soil, without other interventions, and so the manure (pork and bird droppings, etc.) doesn’t need treatment. In this paper the current state of national and international biogas use, new solutions, optimization methods, alternative materials and future possible opportunities, different results obtained over time.

  Solar radiation represents an inexhaustible and unexploited energy resource in Romania and internationally. At present time, in which the energy issue grows in importance, and environment protection became a society demand, efforts in unconventional energy technologies development (solar, wind, geothermal, etc.). Many sectors rely on sun technology benefit, and so can agriculture. The productivity of these sectors depends on the amount of energy that they gather from the sun. Generally there are two types of solar systems: the ones that convert solar energy into electricity and the others that convert solar energy into heat. Both types have many applications in agriculture, helping the productivity. Photovoltaic panels are very economy efficient regarding electricity distribution for long distance locations, like agricultural exploitations, farms, orchards, and other agricultural operations. The use of solar panels is indicated for agriculture due to easy maintenance. Farmers don’t use only energy from the sun, its heat being also very important in agriculture. Drying cereal and other products through sun exposure is widely used. In this paper solutions of solar radiation use nationally and internationally are presented, different methods adapted for agriculture, as well as results from researches in this field.

  Precision agriculture (AP) - is a model that will be applied in all developed countries and aims an input modulate management (seeds, irrigation water, fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide) through soil tillage adaptation to the parcel heterogeneity characteristics. Precision agriculture, as a mecatronics application, leaves room for a new methodology (that aims towards a new agricultural system) that can be the key to many issues. Crop quality and yield increase is necessary in modern agricultural systems. A necessary requirement for production costs is that they must be lowered as much as possible in order to guarantee market copetitivity. This implies the use of complex management and the control of systems in order to regulate, efficiently a large quantity of physical interactive variables. Recent progress in hardware and software like microprocessors and microcontrollers, lead to complex control and task management integration in agricultural exploitations. Productivity maps show the production variation in a field and represent an important source of information for the farmer. The production monitor is just a piece from the information gathering system in precision agriculture, with the help of which we can make comparisons of production values on a multitude of time tables. The article presents productivity map models made on soils in different locations in Romania.

  Renewable energy represents a major interest field in the sustainable development of the energies reserve. Agri-pellets are an efficient version of the average pellet, both in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in reducing energy costs. Agri-pellets are obtained through mixtures of vegetal and forestry waste, being an alternative to the usual pellets because the material that is used in the process can be easily found, especially in the case of farms. Agricultural and forestry biomass represent the raw material for pellets and agri-pellets processing, a product that is used as an alternative energy source to classic versions (wood). The mixtures humidity is very important because it has a major impact on product quality. Determining the ideal humidity for each type of pellets/agri-pellets is important in order to establish optimal mixtures, this paper presenting research results on determining the humidity influence on pellet and agri-pellet recipes.
