  Vegetable waste is part from vegetables or vegetables that are not used or discarded in the market. The weakness of this vegetable waste is easy to decay, voluminous (bulky) and the availability was fluctuated, so the processing technology is needed to make this vegetable waste to be durable, easy to stored and easy to given to the animal. To solve this problem is making vegetable waste into wafer feed. The aim of this experiment was to determine the productivity of sheeps that were given by vegetable waste as wafer feed. Experimental design used randomized block design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were wafer feed composition i.e R1 (100% of conventional feed), R2 (75% of conventional feed+25% of wafer feed), R3 (50% of conventional feed+50% of wafer feed), R4 (25% of conventional feed+75% of wafer feed), R5 (100% of wafer feed). Conventional feed were field grass and rice bran. The results of this research indicated that the treatments had not significant effect (p>0.05) on productivity of sheep. Sheep were fed by conventional fed had final body weight 27.07 kg, meanwhile sheep were fed 100% of wafer feed complete had 34 kg or 25.6% higher than conventional.

  In Indonesia, Ettawa crossbreed goat is one of common milk goat that categorized low production goat. Bio-supplement biscuit is one of feed industry to increase milk production. This study aims to evaluated milk production and calcium content. The used 10 Ettawa crossbreed in Bangun Karso Farm. Research design used t-test with treatments: T0 = Mix forage+concentrate and T1 = Mix forage+concentrate+biscuit 15%. Parameters were milk production and calcium content. The research resulted that biscuit bio-supplement affected milk production and calcium content significantly (p<0.05). Biscuit bio-supplement contained papaya leaves increased calcium content until 174.832 mg/100 g. Active compounds in papaya leave was proved increases milk production and calcium content. Biscuit bio-supplement increased 43.35% milk production and 48.27% calcium content.

  Livestock productivity required a variety of factors, one of which is the quality of feed. Limitation of livestock productivity in several area in Indonesia are low quality of feed, restricted of forage, especially, in dry seasson. A feed processing technology that might be addopted by to farmers the feed of wafers. Feed wafer processing technology is easy and cheap and can be used to treat these wastes into durable feed, easily to stored and easily given to livestock. Supplementation level in 5, 10 and 15% of wafer and without supplementation was observed in this research. The average daily weight gain by giving 10% of wafer feed supplement to pasundan calves is 58% most highest than other treatment. Final body weight of local calves by giving 10% of wafer supplement most higest than other treatment, the final body weight by giving 10% of wafer supplement around 14% higher than giving conventional feed only. Giving wafer feed supplements did not affect the physiological condition of the cattle based on haematology of blood.

  Sub-sector of livestock has an important role in the life and development of human resources in Indonesia. An important issue on agribusiness beef cattle is a continuous population decline every year. The application of technology has to be initiated in order to obtain production efficiency and production cost efficiency. One of the factors that affect the productivity of livestock is feed. The major constraints of ruminant feed are low quality of forage, the low level of palatability and digestibility. To solve this problem is making forage waste into wafer feed supplement. The aim of this experiment was to determine the nutrient content on wafer feed supplement and productivity of local calf that were given by wafer feed supplement. This research was conducted at Laboratory of Feed Industry, Bogor Agricultural University and the performance test at Karya Anugrah Rumpin Corporation on March-April 2016. To determine the nutrient content of wafer feed supplements used proximate analysis. The experiment of productivity used 12 heads of male local calves (Sumba Ongol calves) with average body weight around 136±22.46 kg with ages around 12-18 months. The experimental local calves were maintained individually. The experimental design used randomized block design with four treatments and three replications. The treatments were feeding patterns of wafer feed supplement i.e., T1 = 0% by feeding wafer supplement+concentrate+king grass, T2 = 10% by feeding wafer supplement+concentrate+king grass, T3 = King grass+10% by feeding wafer supplement+concentrate, T4 = Concentrate+king grass+10% by feeding wafer supplement. The parameters measured were productivity of local calves, i.e., daily weight gain, final body weight, consumption, dry matter and organic matter digestibility, blood cholestrol, blood glucose, blood protein. It was concluded that feeding pattern wafer feed supplement can increase consumption and not influence condition of local calves. It was concluded that daily weight gain by feeding wafer supplement feed 42-45% higer than conventional feed. High crude protein of wafer feed supplement is good supplement for ruminant in the tropic.

  The objective of this study was to apply effect of Morinda citrifolia L. citrifolia L. leaf extract as antibacterial of Salmonella typhimurium on mortality of Day Old Quail (DOQ), egg production and Hen day, hatchability of layer quail. This research was conducted at Laboratory of microbiology and laboratory of poultry nutrition, faculty of animal science, bogor agricultural university and slamet quail farms cilangkap, sukabumi, west java, Indonesia on March-July 2012. Two hundred and forty heads of quail were randomly assigned to four dietary treatments (sixty heads of quail/ treatment). Experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments consist of level of biscuit Morinda citrifolia L. Citrifolia L. leaf extract i.e R1 = 0%, R2 = 5%, R3 = 10%, R4 = 15%. The results indicated the treatments had significant effect (p<0.05) on mortality of Day Old Quail (DOQ). The average mortality of Day Old Quail (DOQ) was given extract Morinda citrifolia L. leaf were R1 (4.00%), R2 (1.00%), R3 (1.33%), R4 (0.67%). The average mortality of Day Old Quail (DOQ) was given 15% extract Morinda citrifolia L. leaf (R4) was lowest than control treatment (R1). The results of the analysis indicated that Morinda citrifolia L. leaf of quail drink had not significant effect (p>0.05) on egg production, hen day and hatchability. It was concluded that the Morinda citrifolia L. leaf extract 15% can reduce mortality of Day Old Quail (DOQ) and can increase its egg production, hen day and hatchability.
