  Evaluating the performance of activities or organizations by traditional Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) as efficiency frontier analysis models requires crisp input/output data. However, in real-world problems inputs and outputs are often imprecise. This study develops DEA models using imprecise data represented by fuzzy sets. An important outcome of assessing relative efficiencies within a group of Decision Making Units (DMUs) in fuzzy data envelopment analysis is to determine efficient DMUs. We find efficiency measures with fuzzy inputs and outputs via proposed model. An example using fuzzy data is presented for illustrative purposes. We apply this method in the application to the power generation sector of Iran.

  Experimental design technique is a powerful tool that is used in uncertainty cases, when a great amount of data is available. In this paper, effects of different factors on the determination of electricity consumption are analyzed. This analysis is based on experimental design technique. The implementation of the proposed technique is shown applying electricity consumption in Iran.

  Energy is a vital resource for economic development in each country; therefore, the determination of relationship between energy consumption and economic growth is one of the factors that decides the supportive energy policies, and is used to optimize allocation of available energy resources. One of the most important segments as economical point and view are industrial sectors. Electricity holds a large percentage of industrial energy consumption, in this study the relationship between value added (economics growth) and electricity consumption was studied. According to the results of casual test, electricity consumption does not add any value to most industries in Iran; hence, supportive policies to increase electricity consumption are inefficient in economic growth.

  High energy consumption as well as reducing the known energy resources is the key factors to develop the philosophy of optimum energy consumption. So, with representing different energy optimization methods and ways it is quite possible to reduce the energy consumption (optimum consumption) because the number of energy consumers versus the energy resources and even energy production and conversion facilities is increasing everyday. To get the above goals a simple optimization model (linear model) is discussed in this essay in order to set the level of load optimization management for an acceptable energy distribution according to the costs and expenses. In this model, according to the present costs i.e., demand charges (a) and energy charges (b) and also the given optimization model, we are able to achieve a suitable distribution of the total available energy in accordance with the economic optimization of the total energy which is in turn completely coincided with Iran`s present situation and minimum capabilities in energy sector.
