  Agent technologies have been revitalized for engineering complex distributed software systems. Conventional software quality models such as ISO 9126 address quality in terms of factors. Since distinct quality factors have dissimilar units, comprehensive quality can’t be computed just by adding them. But, a mechanism to determine quality is needed to guide developers in achieving the desired product quality. This research proposes evolution levels of stakeholders’ trust namely a priori belief, indirect trust, proximity trust, transitive trust and intentional trust which are used to quantify quality of Multi-agent system. Since trust is subjective in nature and Intuitionistic fuzzy sets are most suited for capturing subjectiveness, these have been adopted to evaluate multi level measure of stakeholders’ trust.

  Effectiveness of the Information Retrieval techniques is becoming a great challenge due to enormous growth of web data. Information Retrieval precision can be improved if the information is retrieved using the information need of the user. This research proposes a method to improve the retrieval precision of search engine by using information scent and multimodal feature of clicked pages in query log mining. The algorithm is based on clustering query sessions using information scent of clicked URLs in the sessions which model the information need associated with the query sessions. In this approach search is driven by the information need of input query. Retrieval precision is improved by boosting the rank of clicked pages in retrieved multimodal web pages for the input query using the measure of similarity of input query to click pages in the selected cluster of query sessions. Performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated with an experimental study of query log mining of AlltheWeb search engine and it confirms the improvement in information retrieval precision.

  Agent technologies have been revitalized for engineering complex distributed software systems. Nowadays various projects are being revised and restructured using Multi-agent systems. Developing Multi-agent based projects within the constraints of time and resources without the sacrifice of quality is a challenging task. The determination of quality needs of a project requires profound knowledge of distinct characteristics of that project. Identification of quality requirements support developers in achieving explicit quality needs of the system and users. This study first identifies the quality requirements of MAS projects and then categorizes the various MAS applications based on these requirements. Secondly, an algorithm has been proposed to quantify the quality requirements that would assist quality engineer to decide degree of quality assurance functions to achieve quality goals for MAS.
