  This study investigates the joint sensing assignment and resource allocations for Cognitive Radio (CR) systems where multiple Secondary Users (SUs) opportunistically share the channels of Primary System (PS) through cooperative sensing. The key questions concerned here are how to assign different SUs to sense different channels and how to allocate the transmission power and bandwidth for SUs such that the detected idle channels of PS are fully utilized. Specifically, the cooperative spectrum sensing improves the detection accuracy and reduces the potential interference to PS due to mis-detection. However, the cooperative spectrum sensing and the consequent reports of sensing results consume additional energy which should be taken account of in the SU resource allocations. Hence, the coupling effect between the spectrum sensing and the consequent resource allocations is critical for CR to optimize its performance. Based on these considerations, the problem of joint sensing assignment and resource allocations for CR is formulated as a mixed binary nonlinear programming problem and a two-layer procedure is proposed to obtain the optimal solutions. The extensive results show that due to the energy overhead for sensing and reporting, the optimal number of SUs assigned to sense the PU channel does not increase in the idle probability of the channel monotonically. Meanwhile, to maximize the SUs throughput, the consequent optimal transmission power and bandwidth allocations heavily depend on the sensing accuracy determined by the optimal sensing assignment.

  The need to enhance the capacity of the rural poultry keepers is paramount to the improvement of the level of protein intake of the Nigeria populace. This would invariable have an impact on the health status of the citizenry. An obvious and effective strategy of enhancing the capacity of the rural poultry keepers is the introduction of improved techniques that are simple, appropriate, affordable and reliable. The water-bed incubator is one of such technologies hereby discussed and recommended for adoption.

  The investment of centralized traffic information system is large and data processing is too concentrate, the autonomous traffic information system based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication is mostly limited to information on safe driving, less involved with the research of the whole road network congestion information collection and transmission. This study puts forward an autonomous intelligent vehicle traffic information system mode which is for the whole urban road network and can collect and transmit information by itself. And then, based on the original information and integration processing model, it builds the corresponding self-diffusion transmission model for different roads, different driving direction vehicles and different information integration results. It also creates autonomous generation and dynamic update models of traffic congestion information for the whole road network. The traffic simulation and the evaluation results in a variety of situations show that IVTIS mode and models are reasonable and basically adapted to autonomous collection and quick transmission for traffic congestion information in urban road network.
