  This study will point out the major windows registry security issues in windows-based platforms and explain how the development of an automated tool can enhance the security level and optimize the performance of the system by tuning the windows registry settings. This security tool named registry tuning tool can assist the system administrator to optimize The registry settings in a simpler, faster way than manually configured tools. With added features such as dynamic-binding mechanism, multi-user environment support and user authentication, this tool is more usable, flexible and secure and applicable for any level of users. The tool developed then test by 50 users to see the usability, reliability, security and correctness of its functionality.

  In this study, discusses enhancing the e-learning system by employing a distributed database that apply reusable learning object as one of the technologies that is applied to e-learning development. An e-learning system named e-notes is able to assist students and facilitators to interact with each other. Learning objects are used to conceptualize the learning process and offer accessibility, interoperability, adaptability, durability, reusability and granularity for the e-learning environment. This study also shows the test result of a comparison for learning objects` performance applied to a centralized database and a distributed database and the performance in reusability of learning objects. The e-notes architecture, based on a client-side application, is designed with the intention to help the student in a computer tutorial system which offers reusability attributes.

  This research attempted to identify and analyze main resistance factors which influenced the implementation of the software process improvement project specifically companies operated in Malaysia including local and multi-national companies. The findings helped other software companies to manage future projects through the use of preventive actions or proper planning which intended to lessen anticipated problems during software process improvement projects implementation. This research used a survey instrument to gather data from 29 companies operated across Malaysia with the total of 174 business and software professionals responded. Average of 4 to 8 questionnaires were distributed to each company with the objective of getting wider views on each SPI project. The questionnaires were mainly distributed to professionals who are directly involved in SPI projects. The results showed that the most critical resistance factor is lack of adhesion and participation of the entire individual involved in SPI projects.

  Three-Dimensional Printing (3DP) is one of the techniques in Solid Freeform Fabrication (SFF) which is used to fabricate physical objects directly from CAD data sources and currently the raw material for the 3D printer is expensive and limited to a number of choices. This study reports on the development of Palm Oil based Fly Ash (POFA) composite as a low-cost alternative material for prototype fabrication via the 3DP process. Powder-binder mixtures containing POFA powder with maltodextrin and Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) were mechanically blended through the ball milling process. The mixtures was successfully tested to fabricate samples via the 3DP machine, Z310, using distilled water as the binding liquid which the sample was then post-treated using the ZMax solution to improve its mechanical properties. The mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the samples were evaluated and the results were compared to the existing material, ZP102 plaster powder-based samples. Initial results prove that the mechanical properties of the new samples are better than the existing ZP-102-based samples.
