  The study was carried out to assess the input use pattern, comparative profitability and resource utilization to cabbage cultivation in different growing periods. The highest gross return as well as net return was obtained from pre-rabi period of cabbage cultivation. The lowest gross return and net loss was obtained from late-rabi period of cabbage cultivation. The study revealed that cabbage cultivation is more profitable in pre-rabi period and least profitable (actually negative profitable) in the late-rabi period. The benefit cost ratio was the highest for pre-rabi period in both variable cost and total cost basis. Return to labour was calculated highest for pre-rabi cultivation indicating best use of highest cost involvement input. Marginal rate of return was found 1667% for pre-rabi cultivation which implies that taka one hundred additional investment to pre-rabi rather than optimum-rabi will provide additional taka 1667 to the growers.

  A total of 63 day-old straight run Layer chicks up to 45 weeks of age on 3 isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets D1 (6% PC+ 0% SWP), D2 (0% PC+ 6% SWP), and D3 (0% PC+ 8% SWP) were fed to observe the effect of dietary SWP on growth and egg production performance. This study revealed that profitability, growth and egg production performance of RIR pure line were significantly (P< 0.01) higher in D2 dietary treatment groups as compared to D1 and D3 treatment. No significant difference (P< 0.05) in livability was found which could be attributed to the dietary SWP levels. Feed cost/kg was gradually declined on increasing dietary levels of SWP. The efficiency by the birds receiving SWP were better as compared to the control. The result of this study demonstrated that cheaper SWP could be an excellent substitute of costly protein concentrate in formulating diets for layers leading to increase profitability.

  The MR damper is a control device that consists of a hydraulic cylinder filled with magnetically polarizable particles suspended in a liquid. MR dampers dissipate vibration by absorbing energy. Magnetorheological (MR) fluids dampers are very effective to control vibration, which use MR fluids to produce controllable damping force and provide both the reliability of passive systems and the facility of active control systems with small power supply. Due to their mechanical simplicity, high dynamic range, low power requirements, large force capacity and robustness, offer an attractive means of vibration protection. The objective of this study are understanding the characteristics of the MR damper to provide effective damping for the purpose of suspension isolation or suppression car body. In this study, fuzzy logic controller is used to control semiactive car suspension system.
