  Mammary tumours rank second as the most common neoplasms in dogs after skin tumours, whereas in women the most common cause of cancer-related deaths is breast cancer. N-Methyl-N-Nitrosourea (NMU) is a highly specific mammary gland carcinogen which directly act and does not require metabolic activation. In the present study, NMU at the dose rate of 50 mg kg-1 body weight was used intra-peritoneally for the induction of mammary tumour. The first palpable tumour appeared on 70th day post carcinogen injection and subsequently, most of the tumours were developed around 18-20th week. During 28 weeks of experimental period, the tumour incidence was 82.86% (29/35). The tumour frequency was found to be 4.7±0.33 tumours and the average latency period was 107±4.1 days. The average tumour volume was found to be 69±8.8 cm3. Equally, 50% of mammary tumours appeared on the right (22/44) and left (22/44) mammary gland chain. Region wise, 81.82% (36/44) of the tumours appeared on abdominal-inguinal mammary glands and 18.18% (8/44) on the cervical thoracic mammary glands. A total of 44 mammary tumours were diagnosed in which 88.64% (39/44) were malignant and 11.36% (5/44) were benign. Among the malignant tumours, 33.33% (13/39) were non-invasive and 66.67% (26/39) were invasive. The average values of mitotic index, Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (PECAM-1) in NMU induced mammary tumours were found to be 4.5±0.46/hpf, 77±2.6, 16.2±0.86 and 15±0.69, respectively. The present study for the first time demonstrated the expression of VEGF and PECAM-1/CD-31 proteins in NMU induced mammary tumours.

  A new class of sets called β-generalized closed sets and β-generalized open sets in topological spaces and its properties are studied. A subset A of a topological spaces (X, τ) is called β-generalized closed sets (briefly βg-closed) if cl(int(cl(A))) contains U whenever A contains U and U is open in X. A new class of βg-continuous maps and βg-irresolute maps in topological spaces and study some of its basic properties. In this study, we introduce the notion of βg (θ) convergence and βg (θ)-adherence in grill topological spaces and study some of its basic properties and relations among them.

  Routing in a military MANET requires a complex strategy to provide highly reliable communication amongst the nodes. Modern Tactical Communication Networks (MTCN) requires integration of existing legacy networks (like semi-ad hoc) and fully IP based mobile ad hoc networks (IPV6 and Mobile IPV6 compatible or scalable features). Routing in MANET based MTCN requires a complex strategy to provide highly reliable communication amongst the nodes. Developing a routing algorithm for such a dynamic environment is cumbersome exercise. In this study, we propose a novel Probabilistic Virtual Head based proactive routing mechanism (ProVH) where the selection of high power nodes in a given geographical area is based on a probabilistic method by analyzing pre-historical and current statistical movement of all nodes. ProVH considers the factors such as node’s mobility, power, memory and storage for dynamic selection of virtual heads in a distributed MTCN. Simulation and experimental analysis shows that ProVH routing protocol improves the routing metrics in a large scale MANET deployed environment. ProVH proves to be highly proactive and efficient in setting up high reliability for critical infra-structure in terms of varied mobility patterns. The results were analyzed and compared with known proactive protocols like OLSR, ZRP in terms of throughput, delay, packet delivery ratio, routing overhead and network balancing. Our protocol ProVH outperforms in a critical and resource constraint tactical mobile ad hoc networks enhancing quality of service and experience.

  Azolla-Anabaena symbiosis is one of the vital roles in the field of agriculture and development. Both the associates have mutualistic relationship and work together for carbon and nitrogen fixation to soil. The present study is to investigate the new entity in the relationship between the Azolla and Cyanobacteria. Endophytic and Epiphytic cyanobacterial associates were isolated from different Azolla sp. viz., Azolla pinnata, Azolla caroliana and Azolla filliculoides. The isolates were further characterized by conventional methods and molecular techniques. A novel entity, Westiellopsis was found in the association with Azolla filiculoides comparatively with previously reported. Furthermore, Anabaena variabilis precluded from Azolla filiculoides was produce red color pigmentation. The C-Phycoerythrin content of the isolated cyanobacterial symbiont was measured by absorption and fluorescence emission spectroscopy. The nutritional optimization was done showed two fold increased in pigment production than the control.

  Homeomorphism helps us to determine the properties of complicated spaces easily. In this sequel, the aim of this short communication is introduce and study two new types of homeomorphisms, namely; pairwise s*g-homeomorphism and pairwise s*gc-homeomorphism in bitopological spaces. Here researchers proved that the set of all pairwise s*gc-homeomorphisms forms a group which contains the set of all pairwise homeomorphisms as a subgroup. Furthermore, the relationships between newly introduced and existing homeomorphisms are established.
