  The network size is evolving rapidly now-a-days and there is a need to provide high degree of Quality of Service (QOS) to the users.In this study, the technique of optimal routing is used to determine the best business decision for link capacity upgradation . Business decision is used to find out the time beyond which the existing network link capacity will not provide the required level of QOS to users and the time by which capacity of link should be upgraded. This helps to increase the revenue and also to maintain the optimal QOS that the users trust on the network. Before admitting a flow of data its flow specification must be checked and it must be optimally routed. Delay is an element which has to be reduced to provide better QOS. To reduce this delay, the link utilization has to be decreased. Link utilization is defined as the ratio between total flow demand and link capacity. This can be achieved by limiting the flow of data in the corresponding link, through increase in cost of the link. We propose a new methodology to identify the optimal time period for deploying network devices for link bandwidth upgradation. This is achieved through optimal routing technique by identification and cycle deduction.

  The condition of the insulation of an machine can be assessed by measuring the various parameters of the insulation like capacitance, leakage current, dissipation factor, polarization index, surge voltage with standing strength etc. To assess these parameters of the insulations used in high voltage rotating machines a number of measurements have been conducted on actual stator coils of machines manufactured using resin rich technology for various test voltages, the capacitance and dissipation factors were measured and correlated as a function of test voltages. Attempts were made using Neural Network tool to predict the possibilities of establishing a correlation between the applied test voltage and the maximum variation of capacitance and dissipation factor in relation to the volume of the air filled voids in the insulation.

  The objective of this study is to classify few important kidney categories by characterizing the tissues of kidney region using the unique power spectral features with ultrasound as imaging modality. The images are acquired from male and female subjects of age 4515 years. Three kidney categories namely normal, medical renal diseases and cortical cyst are considered for the analysis. The acquired images are initially pre-processed to retain the pixels-of-interest. The proposed features depend on the spatial distribution of spectral components in the kidney region. A set of power spectral features are estimated at the specific cut-off frequencies rc1 and rc2 in the spectrum and by considering global mean total power. The results obtained show that the features are highly content descriptive and provide discrete range of values for each kidney category. Such isolated feature values facilitate to identify the kidney categories objectively which may be used as a secondary observer. The proposed method and features also explores the possibility of implementing computer-aided diagnosis system exclusively for US kidney images.
