  Real time quality control based on machine visual in sheet material industries is becoming a crucial technology. During the defect inspection process, surface image acquisition which is the first significant step, is challenging since fast manufacture speed and various tough condition. Choosing DS90CR288A, DS90LV047 and DS90LV019 for series-parallel data conversion and command interaction, this study presents a hardware architectural structure and turns it into reality, then develops driver program embedded into Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), we reduces the signal crosstalk through using reasonable termination, differential pairs controlling and the division of ground etc. The data transfer rate of this image acquisition system can reach up to 5.12 Gbps when pixel clock is up to 80 MHZ with an excellent performance. And it has already been applied to a hot rolling strip surface inspection system steadily for more than one year.

  Real-time surface defect inspection of sheet materials is increasing challenge due to the fast production rhythm and high requirement of quality. Choosing Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA XC6VLX240T, this study presents an embedded hardware scheme for online image acquisition and parallel data processing, then realized it on a 12-layer Print Circuit Board (PCB) with a high performance of signal integrity. The equipped PCI express (PCIe) interface supports expansion with host PC smoothly which had achieved an actual peak transfer rate high up to 1.788 Gbps. At the end of this study, the designed FPGA platform was used as a sub-system to steel surface inspection equipment applying in a hot-rolled workshop. The application effects showed that this system was qualified for the real-time computational task when the maximum rolling speed is as high as 18 m sec-1. Due to the advantages of source-open, customization and cost-effectiveness, the embedded FPGA platform is standing ready for widespread adoption of quality assurance in the sheet material fields.

  The title complex, [Co(II)(C7H10N2)2Cl2], has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, UV-vis spectra and X-ray single crystal diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2/c, with lattice parameters a = 8.1370(16) Aring, b = 6.4990(13) Aring, c = 16.416(5) Aring, β = 98.99(3)° and Z = 2. The crystal structure of the title compound consists of monomeric molecules of [Co(II)(C7H10N2)2Cl2] with C2 symmetry and the two-fold axis through the Co(II) ion and the mid-point of two Cl- anions. TG/DTG data indicate that thermal decomposition of the compound takes place in two steps and the residue is Co. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations of the structure, electronic spectra, natural population analysis and the thermodynamic properties at different temperatures have been performed. The calculated results show that electronic transitions are mainly derived from the contribution of an intraligand (IL) π → π* transition, metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) and d-d transition. Bond strength of Co-Cl is stronger than that of Co-N, which agrees with the experimental data. The correlation equations of the thermodynamic properties of C0p,m and Sm0 with temperature are also obtained.
