  The study area (Mirabad) is located between 36°, 55’ to 37° north latitude and 45°, 05' to 55°,44' east longitude in west Azerbaijan province. In this study, Flora of this region was determined by using available references. We encountered 192 species that belongs to 126 genera and 41 families. The largest family of region is Asteraceae with 31 sp. and the largest Genera is Astragalus with 7 sp. The main life forms are: Hemicryptophyte with 30.2% and Therophyte with 28.1%. The most extended chorotype with 62.5% is related to: Irano_ Turanian.

  Three treatments were used to evaluate the effect of grazing intensity on plant diversity, richness and evenness in Rhazhan rangeland (West Azerbaijan province, Iran). We used the Shannon-Wiener index to evaluate the plant species diversity and the Pielou`s index for calculation of species evenness. Sorensen`s similarity index was used to evaluation of similarity between vegetation of 3 sites. The study was showed that plant diversity, richness and evenness affected by grazing intensity. Also plant species composition and cover were affected by grazing intensity.

  The present research was carried out in order to figure out the plant communities of the Razhan region and ecological factors that affect them. Razhan region with an area of 1667 ha is located in northwest of Iran in west Azerbaijan province. In this manner, plant communities was determined by Floristic- Physiognomic method and the similarity between plant communities was calculated by use of Sorensen` s similarity index. In general 319 species belong to 195 Genera and 45 Families was determined during floristic study in the area and 15 plant communities, was determined. The main ecological factors that affect vegetation of the region are: Altitude and biological factors. And slope and aspect are in the next order.
