  Decision making is the process of finding the best option among the feasible alternatives. In classical multiple attribute decision making (MADM) methods, the ratings and the weights of the criteria are known precisely. Due to vagueness of the decision data, the crisp data are inadequate for real-life situations. Since human judgments including preferences are often vague and cannot be expressed by exact numerical values, the application of fuzzy concepts in decision making is deemed to be relevant. We design a model of TOPSIS for the fuzzy environment with the introduction of appropriate negations for obtaining ideal solutions. Here, we apply a new measurement of fuzzy distance value with a lower bound of alternatives. Then similarity degree is used for ranking of alternatives. Examples are shown to demonstrate capabilities of the proposed model.

  The development of robust supply chains requires careful attention to both the location of individual supplier facilities and the opportunities for effective transportation among them. Here, we propose a supply chain which considers multiple depots, multiple vehicles, multiple products and multiple customers, with multi time periods. The supplier receives the order and forwards it to depots of multiple products. The depots investigate the capacity level and accept/refuse supplying the order. Considering the location of the customers, the depots decide upon sending the suitable vehicles. Each vehicle has its specific traveling time and cost. We present a mathematical model for the allocation of orders to depots and vehicles minimizing the total cost. We also provide a Lingo encoding and use it to solve an illustrating example to show the effectiveness of the proposed model.

  This study compared traditional system with virtual educational system statistically in Iran. In recent years e-learning has become a process which is changing the educational system from traditional to collaborative web-based activities in the widespread borderless world. For overcoming remoteness, distance learning and for prevailing time problem, a time boundless system of education is recommended. In this way, by the means of economical equations and statistical analysis we illustrated an in depth survey. Finally, by the means of hypothesis testing, we illustrated the best option for educational system is the combination of both systems.

  In this study, the effort has been made to manage IT infrastructure and to support it for IT industry development. Here proposed a framework of IT strategic planning based on SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis which is used for industry development in Iran. The Analytical Hierarchy Procedure (AHP) is applied to quantify the qualitative parameters of SWOT criteria for more effective decision making in IT environment. The TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution) method is used to identify the best strategy of developing the industry of Iran by the results gained by AHP method. To validate the proposed framework, a case study of industry in Iran has been illustrated.

  In this study, an assessment method is designed based on real-time simulators. These simulators will be able to facilitate education and play the role of virtual intelligent teacher referring to student capabilities by following the feedback mechanisms. This system, which is constructed by the means of network and expert system, is contained a real-time simulator core that has an inference engine based on a hypothesis testing.
