  The CAD model retrieval based on shape similarity is the research focus of computer graphics and computer-aided design field. To obtain higher retrieval precision and efficiency, a new CAD model retrieval method based on shape similarity is proposed. The method is divided into two steps. Firstly, breadth-first-search-based spanning tree algorithm is applied to obtain an initial boundary matching between retrieval object and retrieval condition. Secondly, the topology adjacency approximation algorithm is put forward to find the optimal boundary matching based on the initial boundary matching by the cycle and approximation process and the matching result is used to calculate the shape similarity between retrieval object and retrieval condition. In order to calculate the similarity between various types of boundary faces, a new similarity calculation method is present. Finally, a CAD model retrieval system on the platform of UG is developed based on the proposed method. Experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective.

  A well-coordinated assembly system plays an important role in an enterprise’s strategic management. As the uncertainty of the supply chain is increasing, coordinating the assembly system effectively under supply disruption becomes a critical success factor for a global supply chain system. In this study, we consider an assembly system with two suppliers and one manufacturer and formulate the model of each partner with bonus policy under supply disruption. The optimal decision of each partner is analyzed under decentralized decision. Then we optimize the total cost of assembly system under centralized decision which is regarded as the benchmark. Furthermore, to achieve this benchmark, the compensation mechanism is designed to coordinate the assembly system under supply disruption. At last, the sensitivity is analyzed and the numerical analysis shows that our compensation mechanism is reasonable and effective.

  The literature under random component yield has focused on coordination of supply chain at the determined price, where decision maker chooses its optimal production quantities. We considered a centralized system when the price is not determined under both random yield and demand. Type A with perfect quality and type B with imperfect quality are produced due to the random yield. We prove the unique concavity of expected profit in centralized system at determined price. Then dynamic pricing is considered and algorithm is put forward for dynamic pricing. Errors can be sufficiently small as long as some parameters can be set suitably. Apart from lot sizing and dynamic pricing, we also provide qualitative insights based on numerical illustration of centralized and decentralized solutions.

  Supply replenishment mode between suppliers and the manufacturer is considered in upstream assembly system. Furthermore, collaborative replenishment mode in assembly system is analyzed based on supply-hub. To illustrate superiority of the supply-hub, the other two replenishment modes, called traditional lot-for-lot mode and modified lot-for-lot mode with “milk run”, are introduced. The optimal decision-making is analyzed in these three different replenishment modes. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted and the total cost is compared with these three replenishment mode, which indicates the significance and superiority of replenishment mode with supply-hub in assembly system.
