Comparative Performance of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Genotypes under Salinity Stress. I: Growth and Yield Parameters

Aftab Naseem, M.S. Iqbal, K. Mahmood and J. Akhtar

Two genotypes, i.e. Pb-28 and Bakhtawar were proved to be tolerant as they showed better growth and produced maximum grain and straw yield under salinity stress. The performance of two genotypes (Pb-39 and KLR-1-4) under salinity was very poor and were declared as sensitive. Rest of the genotypes were either moderately tolerant or moderately sensitive depending upon their performance under salinity stress.
