Stem Cells for Treating Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease
Sarder Nasir Uddin and Md. Eunus Ali

The aim of this study to find out and accumulate the possible way of recent treatments of ankylosing spondylitis specially by using Stem Cells. There is accumulating evidence that anti-tumor-necrosis-factor (anti-TNF) therapy is highly effective in SpA, especially in ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. In ankylosing spondylitis there is an unmet medical need, since there are almost no disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs available for severely affected patients, especially those with spinal manifestations. This review found that the replacement therapy of stem cells led to a new idea: by taking healthy stem cells from the developing goat`s bone marrow cells or human blastocyst and transplanting them into the affected area of a ankylosing spondylitis patient. The cell survives and they formed connections with the surrounding tissue. Transplantation strategies based on stem cells present enormous potential for repairing the damage caused by ankylosing spondylitis disease. Stems cells may also be preferable to other tissue, especially if they can be derived from the patient`s own body, avoiding potential immunological problems. So, stem cell replacement therapy for ankylosing spondylitis disease will some day become a therapeutic reality.

Aly Townsend:
To all of husband David is doing MUCH better....his AS is hardly causing problems now, and he is on no medication except Aleve for inflammation. YOU MUST ALL HAVE FOOD ALLERGY TESTING!!! My husband was tested by his naturopath and turns out he had extensive food allergies, especially dairy and casien. If you can find out what you are allergic to, you may be able to greatly reduce your symptoms. My husband's recovery has been so miraculous! I wish the same for all of you! I really think this disease has a lot to do with an allergic reaction triggered by some injury and progressing to serious food allergies... He now takes IGg (a nutritional supplement) to help his intestinal barrier heal from the allergy damage. His posture is still ruined from the AS being so severe previously, but he is no longer rock-stiff in his spine and he did nothing except natural healing and avoiding allergen foods. Also make sure your home is mold-free, because i think that may also be a bigtime allergen. Once we fixed our moldy storage room, and he stopped eating milk and anything with casien, he improved DRASTICALLY! Hope you all have better health soon. Please let me know if you improve because I am curious if this is the answer for anyone else....good luck!
