Efficient Service Selection Middleware using ELECTRE Methodology for Cloud Environments

Abstract:
Cloud computing delivers on-demand services over the network. There are many service providers that provide service with similar functionality in the cloud. The problem of satisfying the user’s request as per their requirements is a vital process. Service Selection in a Cloud can be modeled as a multi-criteria decision making problem since many requirements such as turnaround time, service cost, trust, reliability, etc., influence the selection of the cloud service. In this study, an efficient service selection middleware for Cloud environment is proposed adopting ELECTRE methodology. Experimental analysis has been performed on the proposed middleware. The results show that the proposed middleware is efficient.
