The work has been done in order to get information on genetic variability, which is of paramount importance for breeding purpose. I want to know has the authors tried to study, in any other related experiment, the effect of mutagen in lab conditions or trial mini-plots or such type of work to analyses the induced genetic variability so as to know the scope of mutagen breeding in this crop or not.
Dear, Mohammad Imran Kozgar, New Delhi,
No. We did not tried Mutagen treatment on the materials to induced genetic variability. It would have been also very important if it has been applied. Therefore,we will apply in the future.
