Abstract:
A CASE OF PLAGIARISM (Case No. 26022013)
Dr. Richard Bell from School of Biological and Environmental Science, Murdoch University, Murdoch 6150, Western Australia, pointed out a plagiarism in a paper published in Pakistan Journal of Biological Sciences Volume 3 Number 3, 383-388, 2000.
On the receipt of Dr. Richard Bell’s letter, the case forwarded to the Ethics Committee of the Science Alert. As per the report of the Ethics Committee, article entitled "A New Approach for Controlling Low Boron Concentration in Nutrient Solutions" authored by A. Asad from School of Biological and Environmental Science, Murdoch University, Murdoch 6150, Western Australia has self plagiarized a manuscript, published in Pakistan Journal of Biological Sciences Volume 3 Number 3, 383-388, 2000, contains substantial sections of text that have been taken verbatim from his earlier publication without clear and unambiguous attribution.
Science Alert considers misappropriation of intellectual property and duplication of text from other authors or publications without clear and unambiguous attribution totally unacceptable.
Plagiarism is a violation of copyright and a serious breach of scientific ethics. The Editors and Publisher have agreed to officially retract this article.
