Abstract: In this work it has been used a battery of six lectins conjugated with peroxidase (ConA, RCA-I, DBA, WGA, SBA and UEA-I) in order to study the pattern of distribution of the glycosidic residues that exist in the skin of the mediterranean frog, studying mainly queratinocytes and dermic glands. Epidermis of frog showed the existence of alpha- -D-mannose, alpha- -D-glucose, alpha- -D-galactose and alpha- -N-acetilgalactose in cell membrane of the queratinocytes. These sugars were present in all the stratums and observed a progressive increase of alpha- -D-galactose and alpha- -D-mannose and alpha- -D-glucose were constant in all the epidermis was observed in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of queratinocytes. In glands homogenous distribution of residue was observed and there were changes in levels of alpha- -D-mannose and alpha- -D-glucose inside the cytoplasm of acinar part. alpha- -N-acetilgalactosamine was also present in all the glandular structure
