Abstract: Background and Objective: The Irtysh river is the largest river in Western Siberia, studied section of the river is the site of feeding and spawning grounds protected whitefish and sturgeon. Pollution and water levels in the river are now its main problems, as it affects the state of aquatic biological resources and legalized norms concentrations of various chemical elements, including heavy metals for the bottom sediments of water bodies in the Russian federation do not have. In connection with this study ecological condition the river Irtysh is very important and urgent task. Methodology: Analysis of bottom sediments of the river made in its lower reaches within the Tobolsk and Uvat district of the Tyumen region in different seasons. Determination of concentration of chemical elements is made using atomic emission method with inductively coupled plasma. Results: A result of analysis of excess concentrations of macro and microelements compared to the maximum allowable concentrations and Clark the earth’s crust, the irregularities of the distribution of chemical elements in the bottom it was found that the bottom sediments of the lower Irtysh study area are contains macro and microelements in high concentrations. From the 1st group exceeds background values Fe, of the 2nd group maximum excess Clarke observed for Sb and Se, from heavy metals for Pb and several of other elements. Conclusion: The present study showed that the distribution of the chemical elements has several laws, both in spatial and seasonal aspect: The maximum concentration of repeated meandering rivers and marked on the sloping shore bank, highest elevation of the background and maximum allowable concentrations marked in autumn.
