Abstract: The reactions of 3,6-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (abbreviated as dptz) with AuCl3.3H2O and AuCl3.3H2O in the presence of sodium salts (NaX, X = BrG, NO3G, SCNG) have been investigated. The new complexes [AuCl2(dptz)]Cl.1/2H2O, [AuBr2(dptz)]Br.1/2C2H5OH, [AuCl(NO3)(dptz)]Cl.1/2C2H5OH and [AuCl(SCN)(dptz)]Cl have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, infrared, 1H- and 13C-NMR.
