Research of Fatigue Monitor for Driver Based on Eye Movement Instrument

Abstract: With the rapid and steady development of China’s economic, the car has become the essential transport for our lives in recent years. However, in peace with the increasing number of cars, traffic accidents rise sharply. Driver’s drowsiness is one of the main factors causing traffic accidents. Therefore, it’s extremely important to reduce traffic accidents and protect lives by means of monitoring and preventing fatigue driving. Considering advantages and disadvantages of various fatigue monitoring technology, we put forward the design principles and framework from the user experience. We propose a fatigue detection method, through information fusion, combine fatigue characteristics of eye movement and steering wheel rotation.
