Abstract: This study has proposed a new design system for basic all-optical logic and arithmetic operation using dark-bright soliton conversion control base on tree architecture. Optical tree architecture and nonlinear materials can provide a significant role for contribution in optical interconnecting network and ultrafast photonic computing system. In operation, the input data for all-optical binary logic can be formed by dark and bright soliton pulses for logic ‘0’ and ‘1’, respectively. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion behaviors, the conversion between dark and bright soliton pulses can be obtained and formed the logic pulse by a π/2 phase shifted device (i.e., an optical coupler). In application, the proposed scheme can be recognized as a simple and flexible system for forming the logic switching system, which can be used for advanced logical system.
