Abstract: Phytochemical are now a days used as powerful medicine to cure many diseases. A number of bioactive substances have been reported from plant tissue cultures. The present study pertains to the important naturally occuring metabolites such as alkaloids, antimicrobials, flavonoids, insecticides, sterols and steroidal sapogenins reported from in vitro tissue cultures of a number of plant species.
