Electromagnetic Modelling and Design Principle of Parallel Plane Printed Microstrip Dipole Antennas

Abstract:
In this study, authors present approach to new topologies of parallel plane printed microstrip dipole antennas working at 2.4 GHz. Modelling its structure as an equivalent quadripole permits authors to use generalised wave formalism and the travelling wave transmission line model to evaluate with a good approximation its performances. In particular, it helps to evaluate the input impedance.
