Galvanochemical Treatment Method of Copper-ammonia Bearing Rinse Wastewater

Abstract:
The galvanochemical treatment of copper-ammonia bearing rinse wastewater have been investigated. Experiments using drum type galvanic reactor were carried out to explore the optimum parameters of this method. Iron and copper cuttings were used as load in the reactor. A high copper removal efficiency was achieved, the optimum detention time was found to be 20-30 min. In order to increase the treatment efficiency, the reuse of the formed sludge in the treatment were studied, the results showed that as sludge recycling increases the treatment efficiency increases and the required detention time decreases
