Research on SCTP-Based TML for ForCES Routers

The communication bottleneck between Control Elements (CEs) and Forwarding Elements (FEs) of ForCES router is the critical factor that restricts its large-scale application. In view of this problem, this study is about the communication efficiency and transmission performance of Transport Mapping Layer (TML) based on SCTP. It analyzes the coordination mechanism of channel flows among FEs. This study puts forward a complete flow control mechanism in internal channel of ForCES router and improves the communication efficiency. Furthermore, according to the distributive rate, the dispersion count and the flow rate of task, this study analyzes the performance of model. It shows that the flow control mechanism this study suggests can effectively guarantee throughput and reliability of communication between CEs and FEs. At last, this study verifies the accuracy of the theory through ns-2.34 simulation experiments.
