ABSTRACT
CMSR method synthesizes the advantages of MML method and SR method. The paper applies this method to evaluate the reliability of the subsystems of CNC machine tools and each unit of each subsystem is regarded as success or failure and exponent, respectively. From the results we can see that exponent type cannot evaluate the reliability of the CNC machine tools fairly.
