Pakistan Journal of Biological Sciences1028-88801812-5735Asian Network for Scientific Information10.3923/pjbs.2003.184.187KhanHammad Ahmad2200362Studies on the day long movement patterns of the rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula
krameri) carried out for two consecutive days in five months viz., January, March, April,
June and October in a communal roost, showed total number of parakeets recorded to be
821+13.3, 1111+18.8, 1199+8.35, 1066+8.99, 848+9.72, 752+10.1, 508+14.2, 631+9.95,
567+18.0 and 483+15.5, respectively. It was concluded that the movement of parakeets
varied in all five months, and the roost located closer to the food items, provided the
parakeets with an almost effortless access to the food, and thus, obliterated the food
items, to cause economic losses.]]>Bruggers, R.L., J.E. Brooks, R.A. Dolbeer, P.P. Woronecki, R.K. Pandit, T. Tarimo and M. Hoque,199214161170Chakarvorty, A.K., K.M. Srihari, J. Chandraprashad, P.P.
